Six Days of Clinical Experience.

In the summer of 2024, the Berry College nursing students traveled to Kenya in East Africa for their study abroad program — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They spent six days taking their skills from the training lab and applying them to real-world treatment situations.

The students served at a two-day free clinic, working with some of the most vulnerable and in-need patients. During this humbling experience, these caring and selfless individuals stepped into this hands-on test to learn new practices and processes, to engage with patients and to build their confidence.

While assisting the medical staff at the Bondo County Hospital, Madiany Subcounty Hospital and Kijabi Missionary Hospital, the students were able to support and treat those in critical need. Many felt thankful for the opportunity to give and serve alongside the incredible staff.
